Why
would
any
one design
shackles, forging links
of strength, to keep one powerless?
Why is it so difficult for
us to touch someone
with softness
and bonds
of
love?

This poem was written in response to the prompt at Poetic Asides to write a big picture poem. I have also used a prompt from Sunday Scribblings, design, and One Single Impression, shackles.
Why indeed? This is nice, Mr. Walker. Good questions.

I love how you pose these questions, Mr. Walker. Clever use of three prompts.

Brenda, thank you. I think questions are more important than the answers.
ReplyDeleteRob, thanks so much for stopping by. I'm glad you liked it.
Pamela, thanks. I seem to do better when I combine words and prompts like that.
Yes, why indeed? I love the "bell curve" structure to your poem too!
ReplyDeleteGood questions, well put.
